This movie isn’t very good. I don’t say that because I am a guy and this is most definitely a “chick flick”. I say this because the movie is not that good. I will admit that I have watched the show in the past. I may have even watched all the seasons, I can’t remember. I know I did not watch the first movie, but now that I work at a movie theater, I had a chance to watch some of the second one. It was very bad. Jokes were forced and not that funny, the acting was just kind of blah, and the story was silly. Also, I don’t want to watch a movie about some well off people, men or women, who complain about trivial things. If you live in New York City you are most likely paying a pretty penny for rent. If you have two apartments and let one sit empty, yet furnished, in case you need it, you have some extra cash handy. If this is you, you suck, stop complaining. Enjoy your life, you can obviously do what you want and not worry about $$. Appreciate things.
Anyways. I was closing the theater last night, cleaning after every movie and staying until 1am, and one woman was watching Sex and the City. Only one. That just made waiting for her more unbearable. I would rather something like 10 people in the theater. One person just seems unnecessary. Thankfully she was a clean lady and I didn’t have to pick up much. Perhaps tonight when I close nobody will watch it. I can only hope.

link >So, I worked last night, and last night was the opening day of Iron Man 2. The theater was crazy because so many people wanted to see it. At the beginning of the day I believe we had Iron Man in four theaters. By the time I left, at midnight, we had it in six or seven theaters and lines for each and every one of them. It was a madhouse all night. I was taking tickets for the most of the night, 8pm to midnight, so I got to witness the lines first hand. I work again today, so I imagine I will see more people with Iron Man fever.
So, Iron Man 2 opened today. Thankfully I was not working last night, or I imagine I would have been helping with the midnight showings of it. I worked for the midnight showings of Nightmare on Elm Street, and that was crazy. It must have ben even crazier last night, because between the two of those movies I think Iron Man will be the better of the two, and more people will want to see it, and can because of it’s rating. I do work this evening, and it will be interesting to see the crowds on a Friday night after. And, Texas A&M has no more classes, just finals, so I imagine that kids will be flocking to the theater for a respite from studying.
link >Last night the Nightmare on Elm Street opened, or rather this morning it opened. We had a 12:01am and a 12:02am showing (I believe we eventually opened up two more showings of it). My side of the theater had two of the showings, the first ones, and thus had the first lines. I actually had a guy start one of the lines at 9:15pm. He was really eager to see this movie. And he was a chatty Cathy too. Kept asking questions about my favorite movies, ones I am looking forward to, and other random things. It was a nice distraction, but a little odd too.
After a while a second line formed, and grew quickly. It was a nice change of pace from normal work evenings on podium A.
